The Opening Ceremony of the FIMS CCSM Coordination Headquarters- Hainan Guoping Institute of Sports Medicine and Health held in Sanya, China from December 1 to 4.

This event marks an important step forward for the Hainan Province Hainan province in the field of sports medicine and health and will further promote the exchange and cooperation of the exchange and cooperation of sports medicine resources both domestically and internationally as initiative of fundamental importance to the development of the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS) and for the continued progress of Chinese Sports Medicine.

The event has been attended by sports medicine experts, government officials, industry representatives from around the world. Prof Fabio Pigozzi, President of FIMS, Zhang Huawei, Deputy Secretary General of the Hainan Provincial Government, Zhang Xia, Director of the Chinese National Institute of Sports Medicine, and Li Guoping, Representative of the CCSM Coordination Headquarters and the Hainan Guoping Institute of Sports Medicine. Hainan Guoping Institute of Sports Medicine and Health in Sanya attended the event and delivered speeches, stating their appreciation for the establishment of this institution in Sanya which aims to bring together the world's top experts and the most advanced technologies in sports medicine.

The FIMS Executive Committee delegation consisted of, in addition to President Pigozzi, Honorary President Prof. Eduardo Enrique De Rose, First Vice President Prof. Norbert Bachl, Vice President Dr. Maher Zahar, Chairman of the Scientific Commission Prof. Yannis Pitsiladis and Chairman of the Intefederal Commission Dr. Christian Schneider.

The FIMS CCSM Coordination Headquarters in Sanya is expected to host the Annual CCSM meeting in 2025.
