Lima, 11th May 2019
On 11th May in Lima (PER), on the occasion of the XXVII Panamerican Congress of Sports Medicine, took place the election of the PASO new Executive Committee for the 2019-2023 term.
Prof. José Kawazoe Lazzoli (Brazil) Treasurer of the International Federation of Sports Medicine, has been elected as President and Dr. Ana Virginia Cintrón (Puerto Rico), Elected Member of the FIMS Executive Committee, as Secretary General. Dr. Mauricio Serrato (Colombia), Member of the FIMS Education Commission, has been elected as Treasurer. Dr. Daniel Arkader Kopiler (Brazil), Member of the FIMS Development Commission as been elected as President of Development Commission. Dr. Daniel Zarrillo (Uruguay), Corresponding Member of the FIMS Development Commission as been elected as Representative of the Group 1.
According to the decision taken by the Council of Delegates, São Paulo (Brazil) will host the 28th Panamerican Congress of Sports Medicine in 2021 and in this occasion will be hosted a meeting of the FIMS Executive Committee.
