FIMS Collaborating Centres of Sports Medicine to meet in September in Milan
Upon invitation of the Italian Federation of Sports Medicine, the representatives of the currently 18 accredited Collaborating Centres of Sports Medicine (https://www.fims.org/about/ccsm/collaborating-centers-of-sports-medicine-worldwide/ ) will convene in Milan on 18 September 2015. This will be the second meeting of the Centres since the launch of this initiative and represents an opportunity to recap the achievements during the last year.
The FIMS President will welcome the Directors and elaborate on his vision of the Centre network. All Centres will then have the opportunity to present their activities since the last meeting in Quebec, Canada, and share experiences. Other topics on the agenda comprise proposals for joint research projects and the collaboration with the respective National Association of Sports Medicine.
The CCSM meeting will take place in a rather festive setting. On the morning of 18th September, the inauguration ceremony of the FIMS Collaborating Centre of Sports Medicine in Milan “Istituto di Medicina dello Sport die Milano” will open the day. The evening will see a dinner hosted by the Italian Federation of Sports Medicine.
FIMS is looking forward to this meeting and hopes that the network of the CCSMs will continue to grow with new applications to FIMS due on 15th September (Become a part of the FIMS Collaborating Centre of Sports Medicine network now).
