Brief Report: XXXI FIMS World Congress 2010

The International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS) held its XXXI FIMS World Congress at the Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico from 19 to 22 May, 2010.

Apart from a superb and stimulating scientific programme, well organized social events, and great networking opportunities, FIMS also held the Council of Delegates meeting. The Counicl of Delegates elected the new FIMS Executive committee.

Congratulations to all the office bearers, in particular the new FIMS President, Professor Fabio Pigozzi from Italy. The new Secretary General is Professor Lyle Micheli from the United States of America, and the treasury remains in the capable hands of Dr Andre De Bruyne from Belgium.
