Governance

FIMS is governed by:

• The FIMS Council of Delegates, which is made up of one representative from each of the National Member Associations.
• The FIMS Executive Committee, consisting of a President, four Vice-Presidents, a Secretary General, a Treasurer and eight elected members. The FIMS Council of Delegates elects the Executive Committee for a term of four years. The Executive Committee meets at least twice annually to transact the business of FIMS as empowered by the FIMS Council of Delegates.
• The FIMS Bureau, made up of the President, one of the Vice-Presidents, the Secretary General and the Treasurer.
• The FIMS General Assembly, which is composed of the members of the FIMS Council of Delegates, the FIMS Executive Committee, representatives of FIMS continental / multinational associations and FIMS Honorary Members as well as FIMS Individual and Associate members.
