Sports Medicine Unit, fully equipped to carry out all the clinical tests for the pre-participation screening, laboratory and field testing to individuals and teams, prevention, injury and illness management and control of performance for the elite athlete population.

The Sports Traumatology and Rehabilitation Unit deals with the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and the return to sports of injured athletes. It provides a comprehensive range of services including the assessment of musculoskeletal disorders, physical therapy, hydrotherapy, strength and flexibility exercise programmes, sport-specific training, pharmacological treatments including the ultrasound-guided interventional procedures for management of joint, muscle and tendon disorders. All these activities are carried out thanks to a strong interaction between the different professionals involved in the athletes management, leading to an optimisation of the performance through a multidisciplinary approach.

Musculoskeletal Imaging Unit deals with the use of well-stablished imaging modalities for musculoskeletal disorder assessment, such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and UltraSonography (US).

Neuro-motor Rehabilitation Unit deals with the rehabilitation of patients affected by cerebrovascular disorders. It provides a comprehensive range of services including the assessment of the disorders and their impact on neuro-motor performance, physical therapy, hydrotherapy, pharmacological treatments including the ultrasound-guided interventional procedures for spasticity and/or pain management.
